Daily Journal January 6, 1998, By-William Thomas Thompson. Give it back to the Indians; give back all that was taken away. On this Tuesday morning I will face all the same routine. I ate a good breakfast and that is important so I have good strength to work in the way I can until 1 pm at least, no mid morning breaks. I weigh 180 lbs. as I have all my life except when I got sick. I lost 25lbs. but gained it back. This morning I want to talk about the American Indian and how we captured the West where the Indian lived, owned and ruled. I have talked too much about the weather. I do not like weather men any more than I like insurance salesmen. Who would want to talk about death especially of themselves? Me dying, no way. I want to talk about living and that forever more. I watched a very heavy man dipping death out of a salad bowl from four different varieties of dressings and decorate his salad. He was taking his time; I was behind thinking as he dipped 3 spoons of each so slowly. A total of twelve spoons of highly heart décor that may send him rushing through the air by ambulance to a morgue. Dear God, stop the aggressive eating and make them see the death. The American Indians home was America and most all of America. We of the Anglo Saxon people spoke English and could not talk much to the Indian people. When we drove our wagon trains out West and through certain tribes designated territory we were attach by the homestead Indians and that we can all understand. Why were we ever there? Have you heard of the gold rush? We were gold digging and the Indians stood in our way. That gold rush is still on today. We set out to kill the Indians and take their land. We are doing much the same today. On June 26, 1876 Gen. George Armstrong Cluster ordered his soldiers into a grand battle against The Sioux and the Cheyenne Indians even though we had signed in 1868 a treaty to protect the Indians and their land promising not to cross, however, when word spread of the Black Hills gold, we over ran their land with prospectors in search of that golden gold, at the Little Bighorn River, Montana against 12,000 warriors of Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse and were most all killed. Custer was known to be an Indian killer. My reason for believing that America is done, the fact that we got it wrong. We should give it back. Its not ours. This picture is still occuring today to people in America with our non-constitutional laws being enforced by the Supreme Court. I think of our own property that was taken away by laws passed by men for men that allows homes to be taken without due process of common law guaranteed by common law of our constitution. The Indian people have not yet recovered from being scattered. What a picture can be painted from this true story. I never knew the detail history of the Indians until my studies now revealed a different light on all that happened back there in our history. This one time the Indians won and General Custer was killed. I have traveled recently across the west and viewed the Indian reservations and witness the pity of families living in mud huts in super muddy conditions and awful surroundings. I feel so sorry for the Indians today and for the murder of them in the USA past. We were so determined to find that gold until we ran down a native people. I pray, God forgive us. Our fore fathers made a grave mistake in greed to conquer the golden West in haste, waste. As Christians we are to let God fight our battles, and then we win! The message is clear. My energy is great. I cannot wait; I must express myself even if I have to paint on the ground or on Paris Mountain over there. Give me anything to paint on, my brush is my language. The color sets my message forever in stone. I can no longer delay but we have 2 inches of snow today. It is very cold today and the air is white with the falling flakes. I go through my routine here and after a good breakfast I head out to drive to the yard at Greer where I am painting a larger version of The Revelation on plywood
